The Real Estate department, under the leadership of Brian Gitlin, is responsible for the University's overall real estate strategy, including acquisition and disposition of real estate assets, enterprise-wide leasing strategies, and management of University owned real estate property.  UM's Real Estate department manages an extensive portfolio of commercial office, clinical, warehouse, and residential leases.

Our Real Estate department collaborates with UM General Counsel, UM Risk Management, UM Facilities, UM Design and Construction, and UM Government and Community Relations, to maintain effective relationships with both internal and external constituents.  Our goal is to ensure that the institution can meet its strategic and tactical real estate needs in support of the President's vision of the University to be the hemispheric university; the excellent university; the relevant university; and the exemplary university.

Our services encompass acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and property management.
